My name is Alex, and I am the sole maker at Jackdaw Leather. All the goods you will see throughout this website are designed and hand crafted by me in my small Worcestershire workshop. I take great pleasure and time creating them, using traditional hand tools and techniques.

It is important to me that the pieces I create are able to stand the test of time, so I use high quality materials that will develop their own history and character along the way.

I have always been a creative person, and have turned my hand to many things, but a leather craft course I took in 2012 had me hooked. Soon the idea of making the sort of objects I would love to own turned a hobby into a passion. I spent a few years honing my skills and craft before starting to take on some commission work.

Since then Jackdaw Leather has been commission based while I have fine tuned my designs and sourced my materials.

Moving forward I am now offering a range of products that I can make to order for you. Alongside the range of products available on the website I am still offering a bespoke commission service. Please contact me with any ideas you might have and I will be happy to discuss them with you.
